North American Indian Center of Boston Grandparents' Resource Guide

Healthcare

Total wellness requires a healthy mind, body and spirit - all qualities that are characteristic of American Indian traditional teachings. This may seem challenging in an inner city environment but training in cultural sensitivity is now standard in the health care industry. Don't be afraid to insist that your cultural needs be met along with your health care needs.
